Élise Vallet is an art director based in Paris, working across branding and image-making. While her background is rooted in graphic design, in early 2023 she turned to AI as a form of creative pause, a space to step away from branding and explore visual ideas through a different lens. It soon became a testing ground to experiment with hyperrealistic photographic rendering, looking for ways to stretch the limits of the medium. Her work centers on texture, surface quality, and the visual language of materiality, pushing the tools beyond their default aesthetics to create subtle blends of renders that evoke the poetry of everyday objects. She approaches prompt writing as a form of visual composition, experimenting with iteration, layering, and contrast to develop refined, tactile images that challenge the artificial nature of AI. Always in search of a tension between the artificial and the real, the composed and the accidental. Élise’s prompts and images are featured in Spells Volume 2.
