CSIS-AI
Profile
CSIS-AI is a research project by Candas Sisman that investigates the conceptual and intellectual potential of generative artificial intelligence through a contemporary art lens. Free from the constraints of scale, material, or method, the project fosters speculative visions and renders them visible. Bridging digital and physical realms, generative designs take form as tangible or spatial installations with a lab-like approach. Sisman uses digital and mechanical technologies to challenge perceptions by manipulating time, space, and motion—exploring how these shape reality. His practices pans immersive experiences, multisensory installations, sound, kinetic sculptures, animations, and audiovisual works. In 2011, he co-founded Nohlab, producing interdisciplinary experiences across art, design, and technology. His work has received honors from Ars Electronica and Japan Media Arts Festival and has been exhibited at the Venice Architecture Biennale. CSIS-AI’s prompts and images are featured in Spells Volume 2.
