Andrea Ciulu is a visual artist working with generative AI to produce both still images and video, rooted in a post-photographic aesthetic. His practice explores the tension between the realism of photographic grain and the surrealism of absurdist compositions and forms. His work has been exhibited internationally, including in Italy, France, Germany, the United States, and Mexico. Over the past year, he has focused on black-and- white imagery, often infused with a sense of nostalgia, while continuing to experiment across styles. Ciulu approaches AI as a creative tool rather than a subject, anticipating a shift away from hallucination-driven aesthetics in favor of more intentional visual languages.
